Opening
Doors For Victims of Domestic Violence |
What is Domestic Violence:
Violence against the person is a very serious crime. Women
are the main victims of Domestic Violence; they have a right to live their
lives without fear of violence and mothers have the right to raise their children
in safety.
"One in four women experience Domestic Violence at some stage in their
lives. Thousands of children live in fear in their own homes; witnessing or
experiencing violence" (British Crime Survey 1998)
