Britains Fire Service at War is a recently released and acclaimed documentary which if officially endorsed by Sir Graham Meldrum, HM Chief Inspector of Fire Services in England and Wales. This totally unique one hour programme uses archive footage in black and white as well as original colour footage, most of which has never previously been seen or available for public viewing.

This is a tribute to the men and women who fought the war on the streets of England's towns and cities during WW2.

Re-enactment's, personal anecdotes from those who served, air to ground photography and original archive still images help to tell the fascinating story of the service from 1937 to 1945.

For the first time ever in moving images, the story of the Corps of Canadian Firefighters who served in England from 1942 - 1945, is told with the help of Jack Coulter, one of the last surviving members. The Fire Boat Service and the Overseas Contingents have not been forgotten and the contribution they made is embraced within the documentary.
