(1) |
Where the executive is satisfied in respect of any particular premises or part thereof or in respect of any description of premises that any requirement of Regulations 3 to 11 is inappropriate or is not reasonably practicable, it may by certificate in writing (which it may at its discretion revoke) exempt those premises or that part of them or that description of premises from such requirement to such extent and subject to such condition as may be specified in the certificate. |

An inspector shall be exempt from the requirements of section 23(4) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (which requires an inspector to consult the fire authority before serving certain improvement and prohibition notices) in relation to any notice in connection with any premises in respect of which a fire certificate is required under these Regulations. |
