Modification of local Acts

Local Acts passed before or in the same session as the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 shall have effect subject to the following modification, that is to say, that a person required by or under any such local Act to do anything in relation to any premises shall not be treated as having acted in contravention of that local Act by reason of his failure to do that thing in so far as the failure is attributable to the fact that remedying it would involve a contravention of these Regulations.
