  • 8-10-2015

A fire that started in a terraced house in Buckinghamshire spread to two more homes.

Firefighters were called to Penryn Avenue, in Fishermead, Milton Keynes, just before 15:30 BST.

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said that "everyone" was accounted for.

The cause of the blaze, which created large plumes of smoke, is not yet known. Three fire engines and a turntable ladder were at the scene, a spokesman said.BBC Radio Three Counties reporter Alice Glossop, who was at the scene, said: "Smoke was billowing from the end of terrace building in Fishermead and flames could be seen from the back of the building.

"The smoke spread to the roof of the second terraced property, next to it, and had started coming through the tiles of the third property's roof too.

"Local families crowded around the street and nearby park with a lot of emergency service personnel in attendance, including three fire engines."
