Seven rescued from fire in Connaught Road, Harlesden

Seven people have been rescued from a house fire in north-west London.

Emergency crews brought a man, three women, two girls and a boy down ladders in Connaught Road, Harlesden.

Three of the adults were taken to hospital, along with the three children, to be treated for the effects of smoke, and a further four people needed medical attention at the scene.

The blaze started at about 20:40 BST on Saturday and 20 firefighters took about two hours to bring it under control.

The cause was still being investigated, London Fire Brigade said.

The ground, first and second floors of the semi-detached house had been badly damaged, it added.
