Firefighters have been tackling a gorse fire that spread to a wide area close to Daviot, near Inverness.

Brown and grey smoke from the blaze was visible from the city, about six miles away. The fire service said at 1530 BST that the incident was under control.

In a separate incident, fire crews were called to cool the brakes on a whisky tanker after they began to smoke.
