Woodland area in Lincolnshire destroyed by fire

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze which destroyed land at a Lincolnshire forest.

Crews were called to Laughton Forest near Gainsborough at about 2100 BST on Sunday.

It took several hours to bring the fire under control, which was believed to have been started by fireworks.

An area of shrub land measuring 100m (328ft) by 50m (164ft) was destroyed. Investigators will return to the scene to confirm the cause of fire.
