Woman dies in two-car collision in Bedworth

A motorist has died in a collision involving two cars in Warwickshire.

The ambulance service, which was called shortly before 2305 BST on Sunday, said the woman was confirmed dead at the scene on Smorrall Lane, Bedworth.

The other driver, a man in his 20s, was treated for shock and taken to George Eliot Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Police and the fire service also went to the scene, the ambulance service said.
