Firefighters tackle Dumfries and Galloway hay shed fire

Firefighters have spent more than 12 hours tackling a large hay shed fire at a farm in Dumfries and Galloway.

They were called out to the site at Boreland near Lockerbie at about 1900 BST on Sunday.

Dumfries and Galloway Fire and Rescue Service crews remained on the scene overnight as they worked to bring the blaze under control.

An investigation is now set to be carried out to try to establish the cause of the incident.
