Chemical leak closes main road by Stonehenge

A main route near Stonehenge was closed in both directions after a drum containing chemicals fell off a flat bed lorry and onto the road .

Wiltshire fire crews were called to the A303, at its junction with the A344, on Monday afternoon, after the 200 litre container started leaking.

A safety cordon was put into place while checks were made to establish what the drum contained.

The chemicals were found to be non-hazardous and were cleared away.
