Fire crews at Portglenone tyre depot blaze

A number of fire crews are continuing to fight a blaze at a tyre depot in Portglenone.

They were called to the premises on the Garvaghy Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Fire Service has said there were no injuries and it is still trying to establish the cause of the fire.

At one point, 30 firefighters were involved in tackling the blaze. Assistant Commander Colin Dixon said it would take some time to put it out.

"I can forsee the incident going on for the rest of today and possibly into tomorrow," he said.
