Surrey Police appeal over 'nasty' arson attack in Egham

  • 7-14-2010

A "mindless and nasty" arson attack at a house in Egham could have had serious consequences, Surrey Police have said.

Officers said the property in Vicarage Road was set alight at about 2240 BST on Monday.

No one was injured but a police spokesman said the fire caused "substantial damage" to the front of the property.

He said: "Fortunately the address was unoccupied at the time or this matter could have been even more serious."
