Suspicious takeaway fire probed in West Lothian

Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious fire that destroyed a takeaway in West Lothian.

Firefighters were called to tackle the blaze at the Four in One in West Main Street, Whitburn at 0400 BST on Sunday.

The fire caused about £100,000 worth of damage to the shop, which was being refurbished.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "We are treating this fire as suspicious and we are keen to hear from anyone with information."
