Bournemouth supermarket fire under investigation

  • 7-6-2010

A inquiry is under way after a fire broke out at a supermarket in Dorset.

Crews were called to Somerfield in Seabourne Road, Bournemouth, when smoke was seen coming from the main doors just after 2000 BST on Sunday.

A bucket of water was used to put out the fire, which started when paper ignited behind a refrigeration unit.

Dorset fire service believes it was arson, but the shop said the paper may have fallen behind the unit accidentally.
