Police and firefighters at the scene of the fire in Newmarket Police and the fire service are investigating a fire at a flat in Suffolk in which a man died.
Emergency services were called to the property in Exeter Road, Newmarket, on Tuesday afternoon.
A man who was rescued from the flat and taken to hospital with serious injuries died later.
The man is believed to be a foreign national and police trying to trace his next of kin. Police said the incident was being treated as unexplained.
