A  suspected arson attack has destroyed an area of reeds at an important bird habitat in Dorset.

Crews were called to Lodmoor Nature Reserve, Weymouth, on Friday at 1855 BST.

The fire, near the end of Weymouth Bay Avenue, is believed to have been started deliberately but was extinguished within 15 minutes.
