Fire destroys unit on Nazeing industrial estate

A fire has destroyed part of an industrial estate in Essex.

Emergency services were called to Hoe Lane in Nazeing on Friday afternoon where a storage unit was on fire.

Eight fire crews were sent to the scene and firefighters spent more than four hours tackling the flames and then damping down.

An Essex fire service spokesman said the unit was completely destroyed and an investigation into the cause of the fire was under way.
