  • 5-17-2010

Two teenage girls have been taken to hospital after a cider can exploded when it was put on a camp fire.

Emergency crews were called to the Loders area of Bridport after the blast at about 2345 BST on Saturday.

The two girls, who were hit by debris when the can exploded, were taken to Dorchester County Hospital with minor facial injuries.

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service has warned people never to throw cans or canisters on an open fire.
