The Norwegian ro-ro ferry PRINSESSE RAGNHILD
(35,438 gross),travelling from Kiel for Oslo with passengers, had
engine-room fire in lat 57 39N, long 11 19E, Jul 8.
All passengers taken off safely using lifeboats, liferafts. Helicopter resources also used.
Extinguished after 4 hours by ship's crews and supported by Firefighter's
from ashore.The vessel was towed to Gothenburg on the East coast of
Sweden, where berthed same day and fire extinguished.
