11:54 GMT The 22-strong crew were stranded on board the Monrovian-registered vessel Dole America after it struck the Nab Tower, a World War I look-out post. Coastguards said there was a slight risk of pollution from fuel on board. The ship, which was carrying the bananas from Portsmouth to Antwerp in Belgium, also has 527 tonnes of marine fuel on board.
