FireNet was initially developed as a Special Interest Network (SIN) for the United Kingdom (UK) Fire Service to provide a resource for other British fire fighters on the internet, however due to popular demand this has now taken on some of the International sites that can and do add very important information resource sites.

This is the very latest addition to the site and will be addressing those areas
of the UKFSSART. The Site is "Very New" at the moment and it is intended
to be a one stop shop for the UKFSSART Teams. A brief description of the Reason
behind the setup and the organisation can be found in the FireNet Spring
Newsletter 1999.

The Search pages have now been "Refurbished" to give the user more flexibility over the area's that are needed to be searched. You can find a link to search all the other areas of the site from that main page.
News Pages
Now included on the
News Pages is a facility that looks at on line news items and updates every
5 minutes. This enables you the user to be kept informed of all news items with
key words in the title (unfortunately some titles are not in the same context,
but not many). The pages that have the News Wire added are FireNet Main News

Final Note
As you have probably noticed by now the FireNet Site has grown, and is now
one of the largest sites on the Internet that covers such a wide area of firefighting.
