Fire spot-checks for Manx traders
Fire safety officers will be carrying out spot-checks at shops on the
Isle of Man from next week.
The unannounced visits are part of a Christmas safety campaign being run by the island's fire service.
Letters are being sent to retailers to remind them of the risks increased stock levels and customer numbers bring during the festive period.
Sub-officer Carl Kinvig said it was vital escape routes were kept clear and staff were aware of fire procedures.
