Man hurt in letterbox fire attack

A man had to be treated in hospital after a lit piece of paper was pushed through the letterbox of his home.

The incident, which also damaged the front door of the house in Havelock Road, Brighton, Sussex, took place at about 0600 GMT on Friday.

Officers said the man received burns to his hands and was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Sussex Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
