Woman, 58, dies in fire at flat

A 58-year-old woman has died following a fire in south Devon.

Emergency services were called to a flat in Tor Church Road, Torquay on Thursday evening.

A woman was taken to Torbay Hospital suffering from serious burns, but died later from her injuries. Her name has not been released.

The cause of the fire is being investigated, but the Devon and Cornwall police force is not treating it as suspicious.
