CCTV appeal over factory arson
Police investigating an arson attack on a Newport factory have released
a picture of a car seen near the plant at the time of the blaze.
The fire on the afternoon of Saturday, 20 October at Precision Cast Components
Ltd caused about £90,000 worth of damage, police said.
A CCTV image of a silver Vauxhall car seen near the Usk Way factory in
Pill has been released.
Gwent Police want the driver of that car to come forward.
The fire at the factory, which was formally known as Saunders Valve,
broke out at about 1430 GMT.
It is thought the car seen on the CCTV was driven near the location at
that time and police think the driver could have "vital information"
to help their inquiries.
Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call Gwent Police
on 01633 838111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
