Trains suspended in gas van fire
Train services in Essex were disrupted when a van carrying gas cylinders
caught fire.
Two crews were called to tackle the blaze on New Road at Grays at 2100
GMT. An exclusion zone set up around the van shut the c2c London to Tilbury
line.
Acetylene cylinders in the van were at risk of exploding, but gas experts
working with the fire service later scaled back the restriction.
The rail line was reopened within three hours of the fire breaking out.
