A man who was thought to be drowning has been rescued from a drainage dyke in west Norfolk.

Paramedics treated the man, aged about 60, near the dyke on Loke Road, North Lynn, but did not take him to hospital.

Norfolk Police said the man, suspected of being drunk, had been arrested and taken to King's Lynn police station.
