Road closure leads to long delays

Motorists have been experiencing long delays after the A737 was closed in Renfrewshire following a gas cylinder fire in the area.

The road was shut in both directions between the St James Interchange and Ellison Junction at Howwood.

The fire brigade attended the blaze in the area on Saturday morning and nearby roads were closed as a precautionary measure.

It is expected that the road will remain shut until 0900 GMT on Sunday.
