A man has been taken to hospital after jumping 10ft (3m) from a platform to flee a fire at a factory.

Emergency crews were called to Denso Manufacturing, Horton Wood, Telford, at about 1800 GMT.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said a man had suffered ankle injuries after jumping several feet to escape from the fire.

The 25-year-old was taken to Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
