More tests planned on fire body
Tests are being carried out to discover why a 62-year-old man died in
a flat fire after the results of a post-mortem examination were inconclusive.
Firefighters were called to a second floor flat in Robert Christmas House
on Christmas Close in Wareham, Dorset, on Tuesday night.
Paramedics treated the man, who has not been formally identified, but
he later died at Poole Hospital.
The fire is not thought to have been started deliberately.
Fire investigators discovered the blaze started from smoking materials
setting alight an armchair, which may have given off poisonous gases when
it burned.
