Arrest after attack on fire crew

A teenager has been arrested in connection with an attack on firefighters on Teesside.

The fire crew were attempting to extinguish a blaze on waste ground at the rear of Somerset Road in Stockton, when stones were thrown at them.

The unit was forced to withdraw for its own safety.

Police have arrested a youth on suspicion of affray and obstruction of an emergency worker. A second youth is still being sought.

Anyone who has any information about the incident, on the night of 24 October, is asked to contact Cleveland Police.
