Baby inhales smoke in house fire

An eight-month-old baby has received treatment for the effects of breathing in smoke following a fire at a house in Greater Manchester.

Fire crews from Bury were called to the house on Westbourne Avenue in Great Lever, Bolton, on Sunday lunchtime.

The fire, in the ground floor of the terraced property, caused damage to carpets and clothes.

The blaze, which broke out shortly before 1215 GMT, is not being treated as suspicious.
