Man sentenced over takeaway arson
A man who threw four petrol bombs into a Chinese restaurant in Surrey
has been sentenced to seven years in jail.
Lapyan Chu, 64, from Ringwood, in Hampshire, was sentenced at the Old
Bailey after pleading guilty to arson with intent to endanger life.
The blaze broke out at the Norman House takeaway in Salfords on 9 February,
causing occupants of the building to flee the scene. No-one was injured.
Det Sgt Tony Giles said it was "a premeditated and nasty" attack.
