Mosque is badly damaged in blaze
A mosque which was operating in part of an industrial building has been
badly damaged by a fire in Manchester.
Thirty firefighters tackled the blaze on Monton Street, Moss Side, which
broke out just before 0100 GMT.
It is not known how the fire started but Greater Manchester Fire and
Rescue Service said that the blaze was not thought to be suspicious.
The majority of the roof and several rooms were badly damaged but there
are no reports of anyone injured.
The rest of the building was used as an engineering workshop.
