Road chaos after transporter fire
The cab of a transporter lorry and one of the seven cars on board has
caught fire on a major road near Stirling.
Firefighters and police attended the blaze, which resulted in one of
the northbound lanes of the M80 being shut.
Central Scotland Fire and Rescue said that the incident happened between
junctions five and nine at Bannockburn.
Appliances from Strathclyde and Central Scotland attended the fire, which
broke out at about 0650 GMT. The lane has since reopened.
Earlier, traffic had been tailing back onto the northbound A80.
