Nursery wrecked in arson attack

An arson attack has left dozens of families in Lincoln with nowhere to leave their children this week.

Four fire crews were called to the Young Tots nursery on Lime Kiln Way just after 2330 GMT on Sunday.

They found a fire had been deliberately started in the roof space of the single storey building and this part of the structure was already badly damaged.

Crews spent several hours at the scene but much of the nursery was affected by heat, smoke and water.

The owners of the nursery have declined to comment about the incident.
