Woman is burnt in bedroom blaze

A woman has been taken to hospital suffering from burns and the effects of breathing in smoke following a fire in Market Drayton, Shropshire.

The blaze broke out in a first floor bedroom of a farm house on Adderley Road on Sunday evening.

A 34-year-old woman was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire with burns to her face, hands and back.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
