Youths sought after building fire
Police investigating a suspicious fire at a disused building in Glasgow
are looking for a gang of youths seen in the area at the time.
About 30 residents had to be moved from a nearby tenement when the blaze
broke out on Saturday in Brand Street, Govan.
They were able to return to their homes in Clutha Street a few hours
later.
The building, which was the former Strathclyde Police stolen car pound,
was empty at the time and has been boarded up.
Det Sgt Paul Livingstone, of Strathclyde Police, said: "A group
of youths were in the area at the time of the incident and officers are
keen to speak to them as they may have information which will help with
the inquiry."
He asked anyone with information to contact police.
