Fire crews tackle blaze in barn

Crews from six fire stations in Wiltshire were called to tackle a blaze involving 200 tonnes of hay.

The double-bay Dutch barn at New Barn Farm, Whaddon Lane, Hilperton, also held agricultural equipment.

Firefighters from Pewsey, Westbury, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, Melksham and Devizes answered the 999 call at 2100 GMT on Saturday.

They used three water jets to bring the fire under control. One appliance has stayed at the farm overnight.
