Homes evacuated following blaze
About 30 residents in a Glasgow tenement were moved from their homes after
a fire broke out in a disused building.
The blaze started in Strathclyde Police's former stolen car pound in
Brand Street, Govan, at about 1455 GMT.
Residents in nearby Clutha Street had to leave their homes but were allowed
to return a few hours later.
Firefighters from Strathclyde Fire and Rescue tackled the blaze using
a hose from a hydraulic platform.
A large section of Brand Street and Clutha Street were closed while the
blaze was brought under control.
