Local crews to help in flood zone
Three rescue boats and their crews from Cheshire and Merseyside Fire Services
have gone to aid the evacuation of homes in the Norfolk flood zone.
Hundreds of people in Great Yarmouth have spent the night away from their
homes as they try to escape the threat of serious flooding.
The 20 firefighters from Merseyside and Cheshire include members of the
urban search and rescue team.
In July, the teams helped rescue people during the floods in Evesham.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue helped rescue 40 people from a hotel in Evesham
when the river Avon burst its banks.
