Suspicious fire at police office


An investigation is ongoing into a what has been described as a suspicious fire at a police office in Renfrewshire.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at Linwood police office at 0113 GMT. Two appliances attended from Paisley and Johnstone.

The station is being refurbished and was due to reopen soon.

The fire was brought under control within 40 minutes by two hose reels and four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. No-one was injured.
