Blaze at disused infants school

Nine fire appliances are tackling a blaze at a disused school in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Crews from Tonypandy, Porth and Gilfach Goch were called at 1508 GMT to the fire at Cwm Clydach infants school, on Sunnybank in Blaenclydach.

The first floor and roof of the building are reported to be ablaze.

Three hydraulic platforms from Merthyr Tydfil and Central Cardiff, and water bowsers have been sent. An eyewitness described the blaze as "severe".
