Clothes on cooker spark home fire

Firefighters have tackled a blaze which started at a house after clothes were left on a cooker.

Crews were called out from from Westbury and Trowbridge to an address in Greenhills, Edington, Wiltshire, just before 2300 GMT on Friday.

Officers used breathing apparatus and a ventilation fan to help bring the fire under control and clear the smoke.

Investigators believe it was started after clothes left on the cooker ignited. There is some smoke damage.
