Two hurt in Ballater house fire


Two people have been taken to hospital after a fire in Ballater in the early hours of the morning.

The man and woman were injured in the fire in a house on Albert Road at about 0145 GMT.

The 56-year-old man was treated for a leg injury and the effects of smoke inhalation, and a 52-year-old woman also suffered from breathing in smoke.

They were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Grampian Police said the fire did not appear suspicious.
