South Asia floods claim more lives

The floods affecting north-east India have claimed at least 60 lives in the state of Bihar.

The authorities say more than 7,000 houses have been destroyed so far, as well as property worth millions of dollars.

In neighbouring Nepal, the authorities say the total number of people killed over the past two weeks in landslides triggered by the heavy monsoon rains has risen to about 240.
