Fatal crash closes road

One person has died after an accident involving a car and a tanker carrying a gas cylinder.

About five fire engines and 20 firefighters were sent to the scene of the crash on the A9 about a mile south of Pitlochry on Monday morning.

The fire brigade said the cylinder, which contains liquid petroleum gas, was still intact.

The road was closed between Balinluig and Pitlochry and diversions put in place.
